(See Eckerson Group\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/markets.eckerson.com\/framework\/\">technology framework<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"item wow fadeIn\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"numb wow fadeIn bgpal2\">\n\t\t\t\t2\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"txt\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2>Automation is a Necessity<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Given the rising volume and diversity of data, the continued complexity and velocity of regulations, and high employee turnover in organizations, all speakers agreed that you can\u2019t make data governance work these days without ML\/AI-enabled tools, customizable workflows, and metadata-driven collaboration tools.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"item wow fadeIn\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"numb wow fadeIn bgpal3\">\n\t\t\t\t3\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"txt\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2>Data Governance Will Soon Be a Feature<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Cloud, database, data integration, data quality, and analytics vendors are adding data governance capabilities. Soon, data governance will be a feature of every platform, which will offer its own data governance features and integrate with third party data governance products.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"item wow fadeIn\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"numb wow fadeIn bgpal4\">\n\t\t\t\t4\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"txt\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2>Active Metadata<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>Many speakers noted that metadata is no longer just for viewing. Many products now use metadata to drive data governance and collaboration processes Some also embed metadata in applications to make it easier for business users to understand the context of the data they\u2019re viewing or using.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t<div class=\"item wow fadeIn\">\n\t\t\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"numb wow fadeIn bgpal5\">\n\t\t\t\t5\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"txt\">\n\t\t\t\t<h2>The Next Frontier: Metadata Management<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t<p>As metadata becomes more prominent in applications, organizations will need to focus on managing metadata, just like they manage data today.
