Most data professionals do not have exposure to product management, so this role is alien to most. To be clear, a data product manager is not a project manager, a BI\/data developer, or data analyst or data scientist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Data product managers help shape, ship, and manage data products. There might be more than one person performing these duties. In many cases, a product owner has accountability for the data product definition and value, and a data product marketing manager is in charge of promoting the product and tracking usage and requirements. (See figure 1 below. )\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"sub\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"quote\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201cData product managers help shape, ship, and manage data products.
