What they\u2019ve come to realize that it\u2019s nearly impossible to manage data without having a good handle on metadata.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Consequently, we are at the start of a new age: the age of metadata. Today, organizations of all sizes are kicking of data governance activities to deliver more trustworthy data and comply with emerging data regulations. At the heart of these programs is metadata. And the tool of choice to manage metadata is the data catalog.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thus, data catalogs are fast becoming the glue that holds an organization\u2019s data together.
